Information

On November 16, 2020, our company and the Department of Materials of Fudan University signed an agreement to jointly develop a new generation of degradable materials.

In recent years, the application of absorbable polymer materials in the fields of fully degradable implantable medical devices, tissue engineering scaffolds and controlled drug release has received unprecedented attention. The performance requirements for absorbable materials are also increasing. In clinical applications, the degradation rate, mechanical properties and biological properties of materials need to be selected according to clinical needs. At present, most of the fully degradable polymers used in clinical use are existing polymers, and their structures and various properties are not prepared by special molecular structure design according to the requirements of clinical use.

Our company is a company specializing in the research and development of 3D printed absorbable implantable medical devices. Relying on the company's 3D multi-axis precision printing technology platform, the fully degradable coronary stent AMSorb has entered the clinical trial stage. Its follow-up fully degradable implant products are also being actively developed. The signing of this cooperation agreement marks that our company has begun to deploy the upstream new material field.

The Department of Materials, Fudan University is an internationally renowned materials research institution. Professor Fan Zhongyong of the fully degradable material research and development team has long-term experience in the research and development of fully degradable materials. Prof. Zhongyong Fan is a senior visiting scholar at CNRS in France, Technical University of Vienna in Austria and Kiel University in Germany. In recent years, he has been engaged in the molecular design and synthesis of completely degradable polymer materials, as well as their structure and performance regulation, and the evaluation of scaffold microstructure and performance. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 major national and provincial key projects, published more than 150 Sci papers, and applied for 16 invention patents.

The signing of this cooperation agreement will enable the two parties to more closely cooperate in the industrialization of new materials, realize a virtuous circle from material demand to customization and then industrialization, and improve the research and development and clinical application of new materials to the international leading level.

PeriSorb® fully degradable peripheral vascular stent completes the first FIM trial enrollment

This is the world's first 3D printed fully degradable peripheral stent implanted in the human body, marking that my country's 3D printing fully degradable peripheral stent with completely independent intellectual property rights has taken the lead in entering the clinical trial stage, and it also marks that my country's 3D printing technology has advanced to the world's leading level. A big step.
